Sunday mornings are meant to be spent at home reading the paper, walking the dog, playing with the children and generally lazing about….
Not this week, Myself & four colleagues spent the day tasting 6 different Cab Sav’s (Cabernet Sauvignon for the wine buffs) at my good friend Colin’s wine shop in East Preston
We were all trailing an idea for a new on-line wine website coming soon called Classic Wine Direct, the idea was to film us all tasting 6 different wines and talking generally and informally what we thought about the wines. I was taking into account what food i would match with the wine. Colin from Sussex Victuallers was the wine expert and telling us how and where the wine was made, Adam Stafford – wine enthusiast, Martin Eze – wine trainee (also none as fuzzy head, see picture) and Gavin (also know as Gavino) who has a great website called Wine of the Week.
The day was a great success and after about 6 bottles of wine we were beginning to relax and really getting into tasting and acting at the same time…. not easy after a few glasses of Vino.
We are all eagerly awaiting the next tasting and also the launch of www.classicwinedirect.com which aims to knock the socks of any on-line wine site… watch this space
