Another Happy Client – Sparkle Ball Arundel!

Posted in News on April 5th, 2010 | No Comments

After just posting a blog on the Sparkle Ball we received a wonderful letter from Sally Spanner (Chair of the Committee) Thanking us for our help…. I felt it appropriate to share with the World…

Dear Dan

Was going to write you a letter but Laura has suggested I just email.

I wanted to tell you how pleased we all were with the catering and service at the ball on Friday.  You did brilliantly and without a doubt contributed to what everyone is saying was the best Sparkle Ball of the lot!

Andy, Richard and Laura, as well as the whole team, could not have been more helpful and efficient.  Even with the inevitable chaotic moments they remained smiling and kept everyone happy.  It was all very impressive and there have been many compliments to Red.

The meal was utterly delicious.   I managed a few mouthfuls (a first!) before I was called away to something else and they were really tasty.  Guests commented on everything from the canapes to the end and loved it all.

And thank-you, Dan, for the very generous price you gave us.  We did appreciate that, as it is always so scary trying to organise charity events – especially during a recession.  I hope it will lead to many other commissions for you and if you would like to pass my telephone no. to possible future clients, I would be more than happy to highly recommend you.

Please pass on our thanks to every single member of your fantastic staff.  Where on earth did you find them?!

If/when my daughters get married, I will be on to you first!

Many, many thanks to everyone at Red Anywhere.  You deserve enormous success.

Sally

WELL DONE THE RED TEAM! :)

Arundel Sparkle Ball – 9 Days Notice, 300 Guests, No Problem!

Posted in General on April 1st, 2010 | No Comments

Two weeks ago I got a call from a lady asking if were available on the 26th March… I replied, for 2011, she replied know in 9 days time. I assumed that it would be a private dinner for 16 and perhaps the lady had been on our website looking for a Master Chef Experience…. How wrong was I?

I asked for how many guests… the lady replied 250-300 at that point I nearly fell off my chair… I said 250-300! In 9 days time! What has happened? Basically the previous caterers decided to pull out and the committee were frantically calling around to see if anyone could for-fill the event… Of course I said in a very calm manner we can do that, No problem… behind the scenes I was thinking of Staffing, Menu, Logistics etc etc but when you have a good team around you and the resources to pull something together like this in such a short space of time you get a real buzz….

Tastings, Tastings, Tastings…. The Importance of them!

Posted in General on January 29th, 2010 | No Comments

Well it’s a new year and we are already very busy…which is good! For the next couple of months we have over 15 couples booked in for tastings! This gives the couple a chance to come along to our state of the art kitchens, have a look round, meet the team and then settle down in our Tasting Room and enjoy a feast of food!

At Red we offer all of our clients a complimentary tasting for up to 4 people, some clients are surprised by this others expect it. We are only too happy to offer this service as we know not all of our competitors do!

How they work….

Couples, Clients, Friends generally have narrowed down there choice to 2 or 3 options by the time we get to a tasting. So we cook and present the dishes they have chosen for them to taste, picture and also see if the whole menu balances itself and obviously if they like it!

If for some reason (not happened yet) they do not like anything they have been served then we start again at no extra charge but as I said I am very proud that everyone has enjoyed our tasting sessions and more often or not gone with what we have spoke about previously….

It’s also a great way for us to talk about the rest of their plans for their event and get to know each other on a personal level, I feel it’s important we as a team at Red treat every client individually and on a very personal basis… this is something we pride Red Anywhere on!

So if you are looking to book an event but not sure what to eat or already booked one but cannot pick from the mouth watering options…. then a tasting is the way forward!

Some pictures below of a recent tasting we did for one of our brides this year…. by the way they LOVED IT!

Dan finds magical coffee near Petworth… The Coffee Fairy!

Posted in News on November 30th, 2009 | No Comments

Coffee Fairy

I had a lunch appointment in Midhurst last Friday and on the way decided to stop at one of our venues we cater at called Grittenham Barn near Petworth, they were having a Christmas Fare. I am so glad I stopped even though the torrential rain made it interesting driving down the lane to the barn.

I was staggered by the amount of people that were there, it was great to see. The barn was packed with private sellers, all kinds of items for sale from luxury jumpers to hand made kids clothes, Jewels and of course the Coffee Fairy!
